Something that happened this weekend and has nothing to do with this photo: A friend said in such a distressed way, and for no apparent reason: “God protect us!!!”
Which in a split second I got myself thinking: “Whaaaa? Has it started already? Le zombie apocalypse?”
I haven’t decided yet if it’s funny or sad :P
Sometimes I think it’s not Jesus who’ll save the world, zombies will. Too bad the mere idea of zombies makes no sense at all.
But the idea has been around for thousands of years… The flesh-hungry undead, often in the form of ghouls and vampires, have been a fixture of world mythology dating at least since The Epic of Gilgamesh, in which the Goddess Ishtar promises:
“I will knock down the Gates of the Netherworld,
I will smash the door posts, and leave the doors flat down,
and will let the dead go up to eat the living!
And the dead will outnumber the living!”
Curious…

Somerset Lavender 5 by Jon.Sargisson on Flickr.Lavender Field in Somerset this morning, the sunrise was a let down after a 2am start on the road. Looks like this maybe the last for this field was told this morning that the field is going to get harvested this week - seem the people in the village have been complaining about the amount of photographer that drop onto the area in the early hours of the morning.
This is a pitty, we need to remember to respect the land and area we photograph and remember that some land is private property. This area has a public footpath running through it but there are some areas like over the stone wall which are private and i know people have been un-respectful of this from time to time with out ask permission. This action gets us moved on from lovely places like this. View Larger
