Too many darn trees around here ..
When I noticed this business erupting, I hopped on my old snowmobile , camera round my neck, tripod ‘tween my legs, lensbag bungied to the seat, and took off in search of a clearing, turning down a trail which turned out not to be a trail, as I quickly became mired in deep powder … Then continued, wading thru knee-deep snow till I found a break in the forest, by which time the celestial fires were, of course fading, but I did manage a couple of decent exposures.
